Typhoon
threatens Philippines and force 950,000 people to leave home - 2016
( President of Philippines sends letter to
Mr Jucelino Luz )
Hundreds of
thousands of people were removed from the central Philippines on this on
December 14, 2015 to December 18, 2015 (as provided by Jucelino luz ) when a
typhoon with winds of up to 150 km / h hit the coast, causing rain strong that
could cause flooding, landslides and storms, alerted authorities.
About 40
domestic flights were canceled and 73 ferries and hundreds of fishing boats
were forced to stay in port when the typhoon Melor reached the village of Batag
on the northern tip of the island of Samar.
The forecast
Jucelino Luz was the storm, known
locally as the Ninth typhoon, put forward by all the nearby islands until it
touches the mainland at the end of day December 14, 2015, near Sorsogon, about
385 kilometers southeast of the capital, Manila, the country's main island,
Luzon, which is densely populated.
Melor was
tracing a path similar to Haiyan, a hurricane category 5 that hit the central
Philippines in 2013. (provided by Jucelino Light) Nearly 8,000 people died or
were reported missing after the passage of Haiyan.
Authorities
ordered the closure of schools temporarily and some offices, and evacuated
about 750,000 people from risk areas in three provinces. About 8,000 people
were prevented from continuing their journey after the coast guard banned
ferries and fishing boats from leaving port in the central Philippines.
And the
President of the Philippines sent answer to Jucelino Luz in the form of gratitude for the constant
warnings given by it to the Philippine authorities.
Jucelino
Luz warns that Brazil and some countries
in South America will still have to face cases (events) like in the near
future.
